IGNORED IN IPL 2018, ISHANT SHARMA MAKES FLYING START AT SUSSEX











After being snubbed in 2018 IPL Auction, Indian Fast bowler Ishant Sharma made a strong start to his English County carrer by taking five wickets against Wawickshire in his debut. Making his debut for sussex the pacer picked up 3 wickets in the first innings and 2 wickets in second inning. Ishant ended up with match figures of 29.2-7-69-5. Ishant Sharma is in England preparing for the upcoming India tour of England which is scheduled to take place from July to September this year. Ishant Sharma dismissed Wilfried Rhodes, Adam Hose and Tim Ambrose in first inning and Jonathan Trott and Ian Bell in second inning. The four day contest ended up in a draw. Sussex will now face Leicestershire in the next round .

Sussex star players Chris Jordan and Jofra Archer are busy in the IPL so they register the services of Ishant Sharma who is unsold in IPL. Sussex will be getting Ishant's services till 4th June, making him available for team's first 5 fixtures in the County Championship and all 8 Royal London One Day Cup group matches. BCCI gave permission to some of the Indian players to play in county before the England tour.

Ishant Sharma made his international debut in 2007 and has since played 81 TEST, 80 ODI's and 14T20 internationals for team INDIA. Ishant is a regular member of Team India's test squad. Playing in county will help improve his performance in upcoming ENGLAND tour. Only 3 Indian seamers have more wicket than Ishant in Test Cricket , with his 234 dismissals making him the 9th most prolific Indian test bowler overall
